Chaos Cults in Necromunda! Watch out!
Welcome to the first page of The Nick Hill Gaming Site To all of you Necromunda players out there I have got a special treat for you on the first article on the new web page of mine, instead of using all the same boring gangs why not go for something a little different here are a few ideas about using Chous Cults In the underhive as written for you by my brother the one and only Tavis Hill CHAOS CULTS IN NECROMUNDA Necromunda being the pit of depravity that it is, it is no wonder that numerous minor chaos cults rise and fall within the depths of the hive bottom. Few of these cults become large enough to pose any threat to the government of Necromunda, let alone the Empire, as the Imperial arbitrators, and the presence of the imperial Fist Space Marines act as an often terminal deterrent against worship of the chaos gods. Some few, however, believe that the benefits of worshipping these gods outweighs the penalties and so try to conceal their actions, most are eventually outlawed and driven into the hive bottom where they starve to death, others get too confident and end up massacred by the arbitrators or even those they worship, what happens to the few that remain is unknown Rather than all using standard gangs some of the players wanted to use something slightly different for the campaign, so I came up with the following new gangs.. Chaos Cults A chaos cult will be dedicated to one of the four chaos gods and each god having its own personal areas of speciality will affect how the gang works. Starting costs and skills however are Identical. M WS BS S T W I A Ld CULT PRIEST 4 4 4 3 3 1 4 1 8 LAY PREACHER 4 3 3 3 3 1 3 1 7 CULTIST 4 3 3 3 3 1 3 1 7 NOVICE 4 2 2 3 3 1 3 1 6 Costs for Lay preachers, Cultists and Novices are as for Heavies, Gangers and Juves Respectively. Cult Priests cost 140 creds, as they are unique within the starting gang, in that they bear the mark of chaos, a gift to them from their god, in return for which they are required to find their patron new worshipers and sacrifices. Now the specialities of the different Chaos Cults Khorne Khorne, everyones favourite have-axe-will-maim kind of god. Its not surprising that Khornate Cults prefer close combat to shooting and loathe all Wyrds and other Psychics. A ganger or Cult Priest, or whatever with the mark of Khorne is subject to Frenzy as per the normal rules, If, however, the same model should be subject to frenzy or increased attacks from another source, the skill Berserk Charge or a head wound, then that model may treble (or even quadruple, if all three apply!) its attacks in hand to hand combat. Here is the skill table for the cult of Khorne: There are more Chous cults to come so check back to this site in a about a week for some more different types of cults !!!!! Well that is if they are acutely finished by then Tavis I hope you do not mind if you do mail me and I will take the above off, well it will be taken off in a few weeks any way after people have had a chance to look at the rules.
